Cosmos went from $44.79 to $1.21 — a 97% drawdown — while the ecosystem it built (Celestia, dYdX, Injective, Sei, Osmosis) thrived without it. "Cosmos wins, ATOM loses" was the trade for 4 years. The monthly chart says that might finally be changing 👇
What the monthly chart shows: 🟢 MACD histogram turned POSITIVE (+0.167) — first green bar after a multi-year red streak. On the monthly, that's a structural shift, not noise. 🟢 StochRSI curling up from oversold — momentum resetting from the floor. 🟢 Three consecutive green monthly candles off the $1.21 low. Base confirmed. 🟢 Today +5.5% to $1.84 on strong volume
Levels: 🔑 $2.00 — first resistance, psychological wall 🔑 $2.80 — the descending trendline. Break it with volume = the long-term downtrend is over. 🔑 $1.60 — support. Lose it and the monthly turn fails.
Honest part 👇 ⚠️ -96% from ATH. Monthly turns can fail — this is the first green bar, not a confirmed uptrend. ⚠️ Governance votes are classic sell-the-news. If the reform passes but disappoints — or gets delayed — expect a flush. ⚠️ ATOM has "almost fixed tokenomics" before. Execution risk is real.
My read: the cleanest monthly-timeframe reversal setup among the old L1s right now, with a real fundamental catalyst attached. I'm positioned small, adding on a close above $2.00, out below $1.60.
Is this the ATOM turn — or another fake-out on the way lower? ⚛️ / 📉 👇
