🤖 #AIStocksWhatNext — Wall Street Can't Agree, and That's the Real Story

The AI bubble debate isn't fringe anymore — it's splitting serious institutions right down the middle, with genuinely smart people landing on opposite sides using the same data.
The bear case, in plain terms:
🔹 Cash flow isn't matching capex — depreciation costs at Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta combined have roughly doubled since late 2023, and some analysts project Meta and Microsoft could see negative free cash flow in 2026 once shareholder returns are factored in.
🔹 Extreme concentration is the risk multiplier — AI-linked stocks account for close to half of the S&P 500's total market cap. If sentiment cracks, it doesn't stay contained to a sector, it drags the whole index.
🔹 Hardware depreciation is a real worry — the fear is that GPU/data center hardware becomes technologically outdated before it's even finished being depreciated on balance sheets.
The bull case, equally serious:
🔹 Valuations aren't 2000-level insane — Nvidia's trading around a 46 PE, nowhere near the 90+ PE and 150+ multiples that defined the dot-com bubble's most overvalued names.
🔹 Real-world usage keeps climbing — recent investor surveys show the majority still holding or increasing AI exposure, with most citing confidence in long-term returns from AI-heavy companies specifically.
🔹 Earnings are still growing, just slower — Magnificent Seven earnings growth is projected around 18% for 2026, the slowest pace in four years, but still growth, not contraction.
Why this matters for crypto: AI stocks and crypto sentiment have been trading as correlated risk assets for over a year now. If the AI trade cracks, don't expect crypto to stay isolated from that shockwave.
