Thousands of Barclays staff are demanding the bank reverse plans to require office attendance of at least three days a week from next month, up from two days, according to BBC reported. Unite, which represents about 36,000 Barclays employees, is also seeking exemptions for long commutes and caring responsibilities, plus a one-off payment to help cover higher travel and childcare costs. Barclays said many employees already work in the office for three or more days depending on business need, and that senior leaders are expected to be in the office at least four days a week.
