Visa Direct has moved its USDC prefunding service into commercial production through Inyo Global, marking the first time a Visa Direct processor offers the stablecoin-based funding option to clients. The service is accessible via Inyo's existing APIs, allowing eligible money transmitters, fintechs, banks and payment companies to fund cross-border payouts around the clock, even when traditional banking windows are closed. Inyo's platform supports domestic and international payouts in over 180 countries and includes onboarding, fraud and compliance tools. Visa first tested USDC prefunding in September 2025, initially with USDC and EURC, and later trialed USDC payouts in November 2025. In August it partnered with zerohash for stablecoin infrastructure, and earlier this month settled a $750,000 payment obligation with Lloyds using USDC in under an hour. The launch expands real-time, stablecoin-enabled funding for global money movement.
