tokenunlocked

The ASTER October 16 unlock is stirring fear across Crypto X—$1.3B worth of tokens (~620M, or 7.7% of total supply) are set to hit circulation, increasing the float by 38% overnight. Critics warn of a supply shock, pointing to past “cliff” events like APT and SOL that triggered 20–50% drops. Airdrop farmers and early investors may offload, with whales already showing $4.5M in net outflows.
But not everyone’s panicking. Aster’s $2.1B TVL, 15% yields, and potential treasury buybacks could absorb much of the sell pressure. Bulls argue it’s already “priced in,” especially with upcoming liquidity mining incentives and testnet launches.
Expect volatility—short-term risk is high, but fundamentals remain strong if user growth holds. Watch on-chain data post-unlock for whether this becomes a flush or a fresh entry point. DYOR; this one’s a trader’s event, not a tourist’s.
