Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Private Markets, bringing tokenized exposure to private companies onchain.

The first market focuses on a pre-IPO AI company, with secondary-market trading expected to begin this week. Ondo says the platform is designed to let eligible investors trade these tokenized notes 24/7, rather than waiting for an IPO or another liquidity event.

This is bigger than another tokenized-stock launch.

Ondo is now expanding from public-market assets into private-company exposure, with plans to add areas such as robotics, cybersecurity, biotech and infrastructure.

And there’s an important distinction:

The first private-market asset is not ONDO itself. This is an Ondo Finance product expansion, not a direct guarantee of ONDO token performance.
