Bitcoin is showing strength, but many altcoins still look weak.....

For traders, this can feel confusing. If Bitcoin is holding up, shouldn't the rest of the crypto market be moving with it?

Not necessarily.

When the market is uncertain, money often stays concentrated in Bitcoin. Investors may want crypto exposure, but they aren't ready to take the extra risk that comes with smaller coins.

This creates a market where BTC can remain relatively strong while many altcoins continue struggling.

Bitcoin dominance is one thing worth watching here. If BTC keeps taking a larger share of the total crypto market, it can make life difficult for altcoins.

But the situation can change quickly.

If Bitcoin makes a strong move and then becomes stable, traders may start looking for opportunities elsewhere. Ethereum and major altcoins are usually the first places to watch.

If ETH begins gaining strength against Bitcoin, that could be an early sign that money is starting to rotate away from BTC.

After that, large-cap altcoins could begin moving. And if confidence continues growing, smaller altcoins may finally get their turn.

There is also another possibility.

Bitcoin could lose support and drag the entire market lower. In that situation, weak altcoins could face even more pressure.

So the current weakness in altcoins shouldn't automatically be seen as a buying opportunity.

The market may simply be telling us that investors are still being selective.

Right now, Bitcoin is getting most of the trust. Altcoins still need to prove themselves.

Watch BTC stability, Bitcoin dominance and ETH strength closely.

When those pieces begin changing together, the real altcoin rotation could finally start.

Until then, patience may be the better trade.
