Bharat Petroleum Corp. has hired a tanker to carry crude through the Strait of Hormuz, enabling its first Iraqi oil purchase in the financial year that began April 1, according to Bloomberg.

The shipment would be the Indian refiner's first Iraqi crude cargo via the waterway since March.
