If you own a tanker carrying oil, food, or anything else heading through the Strait of Hormuz today, you have two problems.

Problem one is ARMED forces

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, decides who crosses.

They will want more than 40 pieces of information about your ship.

They send you an form and say, fill in your ownership, your cargo, your crew nationalities.

Then they rank you on a five-tier friendliness scale.

They decide how much of a friend you really are and your country then they tax you

Refuse to pay, and something happens to your vessel 🔥🚢

The fees can run up to almost $2 million.

Problem two is LAGALITY of the payment

The US has been very clear: paying Iran is illegal. It doesn’t matter what currency you use.

It doesn’t even matter how you route it.

Through Hong Kong, through Dubai, Bitcoin through Mars. It doesn’t matter.

And it doesn’t matter if you don’t pay at all and pass which tags you friend of Iran.

The US Treasury has said that even a non-monetary safe-passage deal can be a sanctions violation.

But here is where it gets really interesting.

When you actually want to pay, the Iranian side reportedly asks for one currency.

Pay in Chinese YUAN.

And this is where you have to zoom out.

You see, China has spent years building an alternative global trading system.

It has deliberately deepened trade, investment and financial relationships with countries that often find themselves on the opposite side of US foreign policy.

The idea is simple: if the dollar becomes unavailable to you, China wants you to have somewhere else to go.

And slowly, that alternative is becoming real.

They have they have also integrated this in other aspects of the economy, including technology, science and innovation like I used to argue with my friend that Qwen chat is as good as Claude AI but that story for another day

To understand why this Chinese ALTERNATIVE matters, you first have to understand why the dollar became so powerful in the first place.

In 1974, the United States made a deal with Saudi Arabia, the world’s most powerful oil producer at the time: Saudi Arabia would sell its oil in U.S. dollars, while America would provide the kingdom with military support, weapons and security protection. It was a simple deal with enormous consequences.

It was a masterstroke.

Oil revenues flowed through a financial system dominated by the dollar, while Saudi Arabia’s enormous oil wealth was increasingly recycled through U.S. banks, Treasury securities, investments and American businesses.

And because Saudi Arabia was the dominant producer inside OPEC, the arrangement helped reinforce the dollar’s central position in the global oil market and, by extension, global trade and finance.

That meant countries like Russia, China and virtually every major economy had to maintain access to the dollar-based system to participate fully in global trade.

And that since then has angered these countries and why wouldn’t they be, how can tell a country like Nigeria that have oil sell their oil in dollars instead of Nigeria?

Why undermine their currency?

And that is exactly where China’s rise becomes so important.

And that matters because the power of the dollar is not just about printing money.

It is about the system built around it.

If international trade runs through dollars, the United States has enormous financial leverage.

It can sanction countries.

It can restrict access to dollar clearing.

It can pressure banks and companies that depend on the US financial system.

But what happens when countries have another option?

That is the part China has been building.

And the crazy China have been doing this underground work for years without fight anyone.

Now the possibility is looking more promising than EVER.

Cos’ Iran just tried it few months back and it worked without America doing anything to China

Now imagine that system becoming large enough that countries no longer have to ask, “Can I access dollars?”

They can simply ask, “Can I use yuan?”

That is a completely different world.

China is slowly becoming the next global economic power without most people realizing the scale of what is happening?

Because if Iran can accept yuan, Russia can accept yuan, Pakistan can accept yuan, Turkey can accept yuan, South Africa can accept yuan, and more countries continue integrating their trade with China, then we may eventually be looking at a serious alternative to the dollar-based financial system.

Another fact people forget is almost everything in your country comes from China.

They built the product before the currency.

The question is not whether the Yuan will replace the dollar the question is when will it happen because there’s a possibility now

Not necessarily because the yuan will do it today.

But because the world may no longer have only one door.

And that is the real threat to American financial power.

So the question is:

What is America doing about this?

And is America quietly allowing its biggest rival to build an alternative system that could eventually challenge its control over global trade?

You all should be scared because this might trigger the biggest Cold War of a century

And if you poor, you suffer deeply…

Again is China becoming the superpower?
