Dusk is a Layer 1 chain for regulated financial markets, where programmable privacy meets compliance: privacy applied where needed, transparency where useful, selective disclosure for authorized reviewers, and settlement that resolves deterministically, built for tokenized real-world assets and regulated securities, with DUSK as its native token. Dusk is preparing to launch DuskEVM mainnet, its EVM-compatible application layer, offering builders a Solidity-based route into the network, backed by Hedger, the privacy module using homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs for reviewable confidential EVM workflows. Dusk Trade functions as a neobroker, the application layer for tokenized financial assets on DuskEVM, bringing MMFs, ETFs, bonds, and RWAs onchain with real ownership and instant settlement, structured to operate as a regulated MTF and investment platform under EU rules. Partnerships with Chainlink and EU-licensed institutions, including NPEX, an AFM-regulated exchange licensed as an MTF, Broker, and ECSP, are how Dusk intends to bring financial markets onchain, with NPEX planning more than 300M EUR in assets onto the network. Native issuance goes further than tokenization, which merely wraps an existing asset, by moving more of an asset's lifecycle onchain, and Dusk's infrastructure is designed to carry those workflows for regulated securities once institutions have authorization.

If I were a builder evaluating DuskEVM, Solidity compatibility would get me in the door fast, and that's the point. Familiar tooling lowers switching costs substantially. What I'd want to know before shipping anything regulated is how mature the compliance tooling actually is around that EVM layer right now, not eventually. Confidential EVM workflows through Hedger sound compelling in a sentence, but a builder needs documentation and audit history before touching real regulated assets. Solidity gets a developer to day one. The surrounding regulatory tooling decides whether day one becomes a real deployment.
