According to U.Today, Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, has once again denied allegations that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. Schwartz recently shared two photos from the major annual crypto event, Consensus2024. One of the photos shows him standing next to an anonymous individual, which Schwartz claims is 'absolute proof' that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto.
On May 29, Schwartz announced that during the blockchain conference, he and Phil Kwok, the co-founder of the EasyA app, would unveil Ripple's vision and roadmap for institutional DeFi on the XRP Ledger. In addition, Schwartz planned to discuss multichain interoperability, EVM programmability, RWA tokenization, and other important topics.
Schwartz, an expert in cryptography, is known as one of the creators of the XRP Ledger, along with Jed McCaleb and Arthur Britto. He is a prominent figure in the blockchain space and is often speculated to be Satoshi Nakamoto. This speculation also extends to Adam Back, the founder and CEO of Blockstream, and Nik Bougalis, Ripple’s ex-director of engineering. However, all three have consistently denied these rumors.
Schwartz last addressed these allegations in early May, stating that the idea of him being the Bitcoin founder is 'not true, but plausible.' He refuted the allegations by stating that he does not know Qt, a popular tool for software development used in the Bitcoin code. While Bougalis does know Qt, Schwartz reiterated that the claim is 'not true but plausible.'
In other news, Schwartz recently confirmed that he has never sold any XRP to buy other cryptocurrencies. However, he did admit to selling Bitcoin to purchase more XRP and ETH.
