According to Foresight News, the Chief Information Security Officer of SlowMist, 23pds, has issued a warning about the risk of Telegram accounts being taken over due to malicious phishing links. He stated that they have recently discovered a risk with the popular chat tool Telegram's link identity function. Malicious users can send specific links to victims through private chats. If the victim clicks on this link, their Telegram account may be taken over. This risk exists as both iOS and Android mobile application clients support link identity verification.

To mitigate this risk, users are advised to log into Telegram using QR codes. They can do this by opening Telegram on their mobile device, going to Settings > Devices > Link Desktop Device, and scanning the screen with their mobile device to confirm login. Users are advised to reject the use of link identity and other shortcuts for logging in.
