Huobi Global’s crypto exchange HTX has confirmed the return of the funds stolen by a hacker in late September and issued a 250 Ether bounty after resolving the issue.
On September 25, approximately $8 million worth of 5,000 ETH was drained from one of HTX's hot wallets.
Following the hack, the hacker was contacted by the firm and the claim of knowing their identity was made.
Ultimately, HTX offered a 5% bounty, amounting to around $400,000, and assured no legal action would be taken if 95% of the funds were returned by the deadline of October 2.
