A Pakistani trader from KPK faced every investor’s worst nightmare this week.
He was visiting Karachi for business and reportedly showed his Binance account to a few people — the account held nearly $850,000 worth of crypto.
Later, at the airport, a group of men approached him claiming to be FBR officials. They asked to inspect his phone for “verification purposes.” Nervous and unaware, the trader handed it over.
The men took him to a private room, forced him to unlock his Binance app, and within minutes — transferred the entire $850,000 to another wallet. They logged him out and returned his phone before disappearing.
The trader, shocked and devastated, has now filed a complaint with police and the Cyber Crime Department (CCD). Investigations are underway, but whether he’ll recover the stolen funds remains uncertain.
⚠️ Lesson for Everyone:
Never share your phone, passwords, or account access with anyone — no matter who they claim to be. Always verify officials through proper channels before cooperating.
