$SIGN pumped 60% the day Upbit listed it. Today it trades at $0.0094 — 93% below its peak.
That pump was April 2025. And it's the oldest trap in crypto: the listing spike everyone remembers, and the fade nobody talks about.
**What actually happened**
SIGN arrived as Binance's first-ever Alpha project, with 200M tokens airdropped to $BNB holders. The Binance start was muted — $0.06 to $0.08, barely moving.
Then Upbit listed it on 29 April 2025. Price went $0.08 to $0.129 in hours. Volume exploded from $402M to $898M in a day. Korean traders piled in — and by the close it had already faded to $0.11.
It even touched a $0.1311 all-time high that September. Then the air came out.
**Where it is now**
Around $0.0094 — down 26% in a month, down 76% this year. Daily volume is roughly $2.3M, 99.7% below listing day. Market cap near $26M, ranked around #689.
It's not dead — it's 52% above its August low of $0.0062. Forgotten isn't finished, but forgotten is where listing pumps go to live.
**This isn't just a SIGN story**
Binance's own H1-2025 study found first listings lose a median 5–19% in their first week. Across 23 Binance spot listings from November 2025 to September 2026, the median token spiked about 100% in its first minute — then 19 of 22 were below that high a week later, down a median 34%.
AXIS ran the same play in October: Alpha debut, Coinbase and Upbit listings, a $0.37 peak — then a 40% crash in a day. The exception? DOOD, up 178% on its Upbit listing on 29 October. Exceptions exist. They're just rare.
**The honest risks**
Only about 28% of SIGN's 10 billion supply circulates. Nearly 68% is still locked, vesting into 2030, and half the supply sits with backers, the foundation and the team. The next unlock is small — 50M SIGN, about $470k, on 28 November — but it's a cliff release into a thin market.
The tension: the project itself is real — omni-chain attestations, TokenTable distributions, Sequoia and Circle backing, $15M revenue in 2024. Real product, brutal tokenomics. Both can be true at once.
**Levels to watch**
Support is $0.0091–$0.0092 — the line holding right now. Resistance is $0.0102–$0.0107. Reclaim $0.0107 and the chart starts to look like a base. Lose $0.0091 and the August low at $0.0062 comes back into view. Tap $SIGN to check the live chart — that $0.0091 line is the one that matters this week, while $BTC sets the risk tone near $76K.
Meanwhile the listing machine is paused: Binance hasn't opened a new spot listing since PREDICT was announced on 29 October and postponed hours later, after the $6.3B hack. The Korean bid has rotated elsewhere — MOODENG jumped 35% on its own Upbit listing this week.
Listings don't make a token valuable. They make it visible — for about a day. Then the supply schedule takes over.
