$1 BILLION is gone in 24 hours. Over 200,000 traders liquidated.
Here is what actually happened today, in simple words:
$BTC fell from about $80,800 to a low near $75,300, and is now struggling around $76,000. $ETH fell harder — about 8%, down to nearly $2,240.
No, crypto did not break. Two things hit at the same time:
1. US tech stocks crashed hard (Nasdaq down over 5%), and fear spread into crypto.
2. Too many traders were long with high leverage. When price slipped, exchanges force-closed their positions — and almost 9 out of 10 liquidated positions were longs. Each forced close pushed the price lower, which forced more closes. That chain reaction is called a liquidation cascade.
This is exactly why I keep saying: Spot holders lost percentage. Leveraged traders lost everything.
Red days like this are not rare in crypto. They are the price of admission.
Honest question: today, were you liquidated, panic sold, bought the fear — or just watched?
Educational only. Not financial advice.
