It's Funny! A Fake Job Interview Helped Hackers Steal $6.3B From Binance! Does Someone Need a New Job? 😅 $ASTER

Guys, who would have thought a fake job interview could turn into a $6.3 billion crypto theft? That's exactly what happened in the Binance incident. Hackers reportedly pretended to be recruiters and used a fake coding assignment to compromise an employee.

Here's how it happened:

June: An employee downloaded a tampered software package while trying to install an AI coding tool. This gave hackers an early opportunity to gather internal information.

September: Another Binance engineer was approached through a fake recruitment process. The hackers arranged video interviews and eventually sent a coding assignment containing malware.

October 20: Attackers reportedly used compromised computers and an internal AI tool to access two wallet developers' systems.

October 29: Using stolen credentials and malicious scripts, they reached Binance's wallet infrastructure and stole approximately $6.3B in crypto.

One shocking detail: 233.46 million $XRP was transferred from five Binance hot wallets in few hours

The FBI attributed the attack to a North Korean hacking group. Binance says around $2.85B in assets were frozen or intercepted and it replenished approximately 98% of affected tokens.

Hackers didn't apply for a job at Binance. They became the interviewers, sent a fake assignment and turned a recruitment process into a massive security nightmare! Does someone need a new job?

And as I told you guys earlier, this was clearly not an attack planned in a few hours. The timeline shows months of preparation, employee targeting and carefully planned steps before the actual wallet breach. The hackers were building access long before the funds were stolen. This looks like a pre-planned operation, not some random overnight attack. 🐱 $BNB
