Sweden's Riksbank raised its policy rate by 25 basis points to 2%, in line with economists' expectations and marking its first increase since 2023. According to Sina Finance, the bank said in its policy statement that the rate could rise further over the next year if the outlook for inflation and economic activity remains unchanged, consistent with its September rate forecast. The bank said stronger economic activity and rising costs caused by supply disruptions mean inflation is expected to continue climbing.
