Anthropic just dropped FlashProve — cryptographic proof system that verifies if an LLM output actually came from a specific model.

Core tech: Uses established crypto techniques to generate verifiable proofs of inference. Way more efficient than existing open-source solutions.

Why this matters:
- Prevents chat hijacking attacks where adversaries swap model responses
- Safety evaluators can cryptographically verify they're testing the same model served in production
- Closes the trust gap between model evaluation and deployment

They open-sourced everything. This is infrastructure-level work for AI security — basically bringing zero-knowledge proof concepts to LLM inference verification.

Collaborators include Alessandro Chiesa, Giacomo Fenzi, and others from crypto/ZK space. Makes sense given the cryptographic primitives involved.
