$BTC Binance Square’s permabears may be about to discover how expensive an echo chamber can become.

After looking across other platforms these past few days, my view is clear: the bearish sentiment dominating the Square does not represent the entire Bitcoin market. What this feed sees as a reason to keep shorting, buyers elsewhere can see as an opportunity to accumulate.

Following the hack and the break below $79K, more traders chased the downside. Meanwhile, Binance confirmed it bought BTC to replace the stolen holdings, adding buying demand while bearish narratives continued flooding the Square.

Binance’s own Smart Traders Overview shows approximately $690 million in longs against $3.57 billion in shorts, over five times as much short exposure within that tracked group.

The shorts’ average entry sits near $75,976. At the screenshot’s price of approximately $77,663, their aggregate unrealized losses already exceeded $77 million.

That is why I remain bullish. Heavy short exposure can become fuel for an upward move when fresh buying keeps absorbing the selling.

A decisive reclaim and hold above $78K is the next development worth targetting. Sustained buying could pressure more shorts to cover, adding momentum and attracting further buyers. The squeeze thesis depends on that demand continuing, but the opportunity is exactly why I’m watching the long side.

Looking beyond Binance changed my perspective. Staying inside a feed that repeats the same bearish narrative can make traders mistake repetition for reality.

The broader market does not need the Square’s permission to turn bullish.

When conviction becomes an echo chamber, the next rally can become a very expensive awakening. This is a ticking time bomb for shorts as fresh capital inflows are coming in to buy more, maybe not visible to the square but you’ll see micro strategy and even Binance purchased some fresh batch of btc this past few days. I’m adding more everytime it goes down. This is what a golden ticket looks like. 🔱
