Wall Street rebounds as oil slides, while AI stocks remain under pressure

📈 During November 2 trading, the Dow gained around 1.06%, the S&P 500 rose 0.58%, and the Nasdaq added 0.65%. Oil fell more than 7% on hopes of US–Iran talks, lifting sentiment after the technology selloff.

🛢️ Lower energy prices eased concerns over inflation and input costs. Consumer discretionary stocks led gains, while energy shares fell nearly 3%, highlighting the contrasting effects across sectors.

💻 AI stocks remained mixed. Amazon and Nvidia recovered, but Oracle fell around 5.5% following plans to raise $20 billion through debt and equity, reflecting sensitivity to financing costs and investment returns.

🔎 The rebound reflects hopes of easing tensions and has yet to establish a sustained uptrend. Progress in negotiations, the US midterm elections, and corporate earnings will test the recovery’s staying power.
