Bitcoin Is Recovering, But Is Binance's Trust Recovering Too?

Bitcoin has moved back toward $78,000, but there is a bigger story behind this recovery.

After Binance's $6.3 billion security breach, withdrawals resumed in phases on Sunday.

Here is what traders should know:

Binance says it has replenished around 95% of the affected assets.

It says major assets including BTC, ETH, USDT and BNB are fully backed.

Reuters reports that customers withdrew a net $3.64 billion, equal to around 2.1% of Binance's assets.

Binance says withdrawals are now stabilising, although some networks and assets are still being restored.

There is one important detail: DeFiLlama estimated higher outflows of $5.81 billion, while Binance disputes that figure because of how deposits were counted.

So, this is not simply a story of money leaving an exchange. It is a test of confidence.

The next major event is Binance's full Proof of Reserves verification, expected on November 3. The latest snapshot is already published, but the full zero-knowledge proof is still being generated.

My trading view:

I would not treat a Bitcoin bounce as confirmation that the market has recovered.

Watch these three signals:

Does Binance publish the full verification on schedule?

Do withdrawals stabilise without another wave of heavy outflows?

Do Bitcoin and major altcoins attract stronger spot buying?

If these signals improve together, market confidence could strengthen.

If they don't, another price drop remains possible.

One lesson for every crypto trader: Don't keep all your funds on one exchange. A trading platform is a tool, not a risk-free bank.
