🚨 Binance completes a 7,499 BTC SAFU transfer. What does it mean?
A transfer of 7,499 BTC, worth approximately $581 million at the time, has been completed as part of Binance's SAFU fund operations.
This comes after Binance reported that around 90% of the assets affected by its recent security incident had been replenished.
A few important points:
The transfer was linked to Binance's SAFU fund.
Binance is using part of SAFU, its Futures Insurance Fund and corporate funds to cover the losses.
The remaining 10% consists mainly of less-liquid tokens.
Binance has committed to restoring SAFU to approximately $1 billion.
One important distinction: Moving Bitcoin between wallets does not automatically mean it has been sold. An on-chain transfer alone is not proof of selling pressure.
The next things worth watching are the remaining asset replenishment, withdrawal services and the promised SAFU restoration.
Does this transfer make you more confident in Binance's recovery process, or do you still have concerns about exchange security?
