🚨 📉 AMAZON $AMZN STOCK CRASHES 7% PREMARKET! Is AI Spending Becoming Wall Street’s Biggest Fear? 📉

The AI revolution promised enormous returns.
But investors are beginning to ask one uncomfortable question: Who is paying the bill?

Amazon shares dropped approximately 7% in Friday's premarket trading after its third-quarter 2026 earnings missed Wall Street expectations.

Amazon reported $201.94 billion in revenue and $1.89 earnings per share, both below analyst forecasts.

Here's the surprising part: AWS revenue surged 39.3% to $46 billion, its fastest growth in nearly five years.

Yet Amazon's trailing 12-month free cash flow plunged to negative $42.4 billion. The company also expects approximately $220 billion in capital expenditure for 2026, largely driven by AI infrastructure investments.

Investors are questioning whether massive spending on data centers and AI capacity will generate returns quickly enough. Its fourth-quarter revenue outlook also disappointed expectations.

My Take: This isn't necessarily a rejection of AI. It's a change in investor expectations.

Wall Street once rewarded companies for announcing ambitious AI investments. Now it increasingly wants proof that those investments can produce sustainable cash flow.

In the next phase of the AI race, spending power alone may not be enough. Execution will matter.

Are investors finally demanding real AI profits instead of promises?
