$3 BILLION FROZEN. $3.4 BILLION GONE.
Binance says about $3 billion of the stolen funds is frozen on-chain. Elliptic verified $2.84 billion—44% of the $6.43 billion stolen.
Almost all frozen assets are USDT and USDC. The attacker is swapping the rest into ETH and other assets that can't be frozen.
Arkham has tagged 70 addresses linked to the hacker, holding $5.88 billion. That figure reflects current holdings, not necessarily the stolen amount.
The freeze worked because stablecoin issuers can blacklist addresses. Bitcoin and ETH can't be frozen the same way. That asymmetry is the entire game.
