🚨 BIG TECH IS CUTTING JOBS WHILE POURING BILLIONS INTO AI

Something much bigger is happening beneath today's $MSFT and $META headlines.

Microsoft is reportedly offering voluntary buyouts to approximately 60,000 employees across the US, Canada, India and the UK as it restructures costs and redirects resources toward AI.

But there's an important detail:

Microsoft isn't simply “cutting costs.”

It's a real-locating capital.

AI infrastructure remains a priority.

And then look at META...

Meta is preparing to raise potentially $95 BILLION through stock offerings to help finance its aggressive AI expansion.

That's happening after Meta raised its 2026 capital-spending outlook to $135B–$145B.

Think about that.

💰 MASSIVE AI CAPEX
👥 WORKFORCE RESTRUCTURING
🏗️ DATA CENTER EXPANSION
🤖 AI INFRASTRUCTURE
📈 CAPITAL RAISING

This is no longer just an AI software race.

It's becoming a capital-allocation war.

The question investors should be asking isn't:

“Is AI the future?”

The bigger question is:

WHO WILL TURN ALL THIS AI SPENDING INTO REAL PROFITS FIRST?

#MSFT has Azure + Copilot + AI infrastructure.

#META has advertising + AI recommendations + Meta AI + massive infrastructure ambitions.

Both are spending aggressively.

Both are restructuring.

Both are betting that AI productivity and monetization will eventually justify today's enormous investment.

My take:

I'm still bullish on the long-term AI thesis.

But I'm becoming increasingly interested in ROI on AI spending, not simply the size of the spending.

Because eventually, investors will demand numbers:

Revenue generated per dollar of AI CapEx.

That's where the real winners could separate themselves from the rest.
