FigCraft just dropped - a fully open-source Figma alternative built from scratch in Rust that your AI agents can actually use.
Key specs:
• Native app with frames, auto layout, components, variants, styles, variables & prototypes
• Opens .fig files (best effort) + exports SVG/PNG/JPG/WebP/PDF
• Dev Mode with annotations & React code generation
• Zero account, zero telemetry, works offline
• Every tool is a command = Claude/AI agents can control it via MCP
Same team that rebuilt MS Word as WordCraft.
Apache-2.0 license. Free forever.
This is what decentralized tooling looks like - no SaaS lock-in, no data mining, just raw utility for builders.
