Bitcoin is sitting exactly where I'd least want to be long.
$81.3K on the screen, pinned at support after a 3.5% slide. Underneath it: a $435M liquidation flush, $385M of that being longs getting carried out. That's not fear, it's leverage being washed out — two different things.
My read: there's room lower before any real bounce. FXStreet's Elliott Wave analysis has a wave-(4) correction that could extend toward the $78K-$74K zone (38.2-50% fib retracement), and honestly I can see it. Glassnode's Q4 resistance band at $87K-$87.8K has capped every attempt since Oct 2, and there's a second supply wall waiting at $90K. Every rally into that ceiling gets sold.
The macro isn't helping either. Oil is holding near $100-$110 with the Gulf tensions, spot BTC ETFs saw $381M in outflows Thursday, and the Fed announces on Oct 28. This is the kind of tape where support levels act like speed bumps, not floors.
Where this whole thesis dies: a clean break above $86K on real volume. Below $80K, and $78K is probably next.
The question nobody answers honestly: at $81.3K, are you buying because of the chart, or because you need it to work? Not financial advice — but I'd rather wait for the $74-78K zone before getting brave.
$BTC
(Levels via InteractiveCrypto, FXStreet, Glassnode — all published today.)
$XMR just ripped 12% to $650 while Bitcoin bleeds toward $81K — and almost nobody's talking about it.
Monero's been the strongest large-cap since Oct 18, grinding from ~$516 to $650. Ali Charts called the ascending-triangle breakout above $602 on the 20th and it played out almost to the tick toward $630. Futures open interest just crossed $300M, and 90%+ of recent liquidations were shorts getting squeezed.
Here's my honest take: this isn't a fundamentals move. Monero's latest release (v0.18.5.4) was a routine patch — no hard fork, no headline. This is a pure technical + liquidity play for $XMR , and that makes it fragile. The exact same setup in January ran to $790 and then flushed below $300 as crowded longs got wiped. OI is now back near those same levels.
The key zone is $600–620, old resistance flipping to support. If it holds, $730+ is genuinely on the table. If it fails, the unwind could be fast — leverage is already crowded.

🌊 Flow blockchain suffered a $3.9M breach — an execution-layer vulnerability let the attacker mint and transfer assets across services before the network was halted.
Execution-layer bugs are the nightmare class: the flaw lives BELOW the apps, so every contract on the chain inherits the risk.
If you hold assets on Flow, wait for the official postmortem and remediation before moving large amounts.
🔍 NEAR Intents published its postmortem on the $3.8M Oct 1 exploit — and reversed the blame.
For two weeks the story was 'partner Omni had a bug.' The real flaw: NEAR Intents' OWN smart contract had a logic hole, and Omni just processed the corrupted withdrawal instructions it was given.
Corrections matter — accountability is how trust gets rebuilt. And attackers don't care which side of an integration the bug lives on.
🎰 MalwareTips just exposed Raywin.online — a fake crypto casino registered only 4 days ago (Oct 17).
The scam: sign-up and play work perfectly. The moment you try to WITHDRAW, it demands a 'verification deposit' or 'activation fee' to unlock your balance. Every fee IS the theft — the balance was never real.
Same site kit as sayowin.com, funforwin.com and famewex.com — all previously exposed.
🚨 White House cybercrime event (Oct 21): US law enforcement halted $833M in fraudulent crypto, seized 503 scam websites, and warned nearly 9,000 Americans targeted by Southeast Asia pig-butchering networks.
That's the largest single-day anti-scam sweep reported this year.
If a stranger who 'likes your profile' pushes you to invest, it's the same playbook being shut down.
🔮 The market's out of leverage: post-$19B-wipeout, BTC open interest sits well below last year's levels — perps are migrating to tradfi assets instead.
QCP calls it a "stalemate": rates + CLARITY delays cap upside, ETF demand floors downside.
Thin leverage = slow grind. 84K ceiling, 79.8K floor until the Fed acts Oct 28. Not financial advice.
⚠️ Trezor confirmed ANOTHER breach at a third-party email provider — customer contact details exposed, and phishing waves are now hitting hundreds of thousands of users.
This is the SECOND time a Trezor email vendor has been breached. Your keys are safe, but your inbox is a target.
Trezor will NEVER ask for your seed by email. Any "urgent security update" email = phishing.
🍯 The hunter got hunted: a fake-job scammer lost 60 BTC (about 4.9 million dollars) when attackers exploited the Ledger spy-chip hardware implants, Chainalysis confirmed Oct 16.
The scam proceeds were sitting on compromised devices — drained silently over mobile networks.
Lesson for everyone: if your hardware wallet didn't come straight from the manufacturer, it isn't cold storage.
