5 of Fomo's Top 7 Traders Sell More Than They Buy. When Should You Sell?

Five of the seven biggest Fomo traders placed more sells than buys on their $SOL wallets over the 30 days to 8 Oct 2026. The best traders on the app sell constantly, because a meme coin gain is only real once it is sold.

The sell data (30 days, on-chain)

Unipcs: 199 sells, 65 buys
change: 66 sells, 21 buys
Salem: 12 sells, 6 buys
AJC: 6 sells, 4 buys
frank: 736 sells, 702 buys
TheSolstice: 470 sells, 1,221 buys
point farm capital: 4,580 sells, 21,179 buys

Unipcs sold about three times for every buy, which fits selling a position in pieces. frank sells about once per buy and realized $863K.

point farm capital sold $6.38M against $6.71M bought and still lost $303K. Selling a lot is different from selling well.

When should you sell a meme coin?

Pick one of three triggers before you buy: your target hits, for example 80% of the tokens at +300%, which is 4x, the wallet you copied sells, or a Trailing Stop Loss fires after a new high. On a 0.5 $SOL buy, that 4x target returns about 1.6 SOL before fees and slippage.

How to automate it on Banana Gun

For your own buys, tap Setup Sell Limit Order, set Tokens to the share you want out and choose Take Profit at your target. For copy trades, Copy Sells on means the bot sells when the whale sells, and Sell Exact or Sell Percentage decides how much of your bag goes with it.

When holding costs you

TheSolstice made $195K over 30 days, then lost $43.5K in the next 7. A bag you did not sell at the top is a loss waiting for a chart to finish.

What is your sell trigger: a target, a trailing stop, or the whale's exit?
