My post-report decision process:
✅ Read the results.
✅ Read forward guidance and spending plans.
✅ Check whether the price reaction agrees with the thesis.
For an illustrative bullish setup, I would look for the first regular session's opening 30-minute high to break, then hold on a retest. A failed retest cancels that idea.
If the stock opens sharply higher and fades, I would reassess instead of assuming the dip is a bargain.
Before entering: define the exit, size the risk and account for fees and slippage. Options add expiry and volatility risks; a correct directional view can still lose money.
No clear setup is also a decision.
