Wall Street just put two more altcoins on its official menu.

CME Group announced October 20 that FalconX and GSR executed the first block trade in its new Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures — live, regulated, on the derivatives giant's marketplace.

The details: BCH and UNI join CME's single-asset crypto suite, which already covers Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui. CME says year-to-date crypto futures and options are averaging 242,000+ contracts a day — about $7.9 billion in notional. FalconX framed it plainly: institutional demand is moving "beyond the largest digital assets toward tokens with distinct use cases" — BCH in payments, UNI in DeFi.

The honest caveat: a first block trade is plumbing, not a price catalyst. New contracts can trade thin for months, and a CME listing validates access, not returns.

Still — a DeFi governance token sitting next to Bitcoin on CME's board is a line being crossed. Does this make UNI and BCH "institutional grade" in your book, or is it just more paper? NFA. DYOR.
