Overnight, money came back into Bitcoin ETFs but price did not follow: US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $526.7 million on Monday, their biggest day in almost a month, yet Bitcoin was rejected just above $83,000 and slipped back to about $81,500 by Tuesday morning as oil jumped above $111 on new Middle East attacks.
Quick answer: Inflows up, price down. BlackRock’s IBIT alone took $665 million, Strategy and Strive kept buying, and BlackRock filed a new “protected” Bitcoin ETF. But Bitcoin failed at $83,158, lost the $82,000 area and is testing support at $81,300–81,500, while oil above $111 and the Fed meeting on 27–28 October keep risk appetite capped. Fear & Greed slipped to 55.

What happened since last night

ETF demand came back. US spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $526.7 million on Monday, the most in nearly a month; BlackRock’s IBIT took $665.2 million, its strongest day since October 2025, which means other funds still saw outflows (Farside).
Bitcoin got rejected at $83K. BTC rose from Sunday’s dip near $80,700 to a Monday high of $83,158, then gave it back and traded around $81,400–81,900 on Tuesday morning (KuCoin, Yahoo Finance).
Oil spiked. Attacks in Saudi Arabia and on ships in the Strait of Hormuz pushed Brent crude above $111, its highest level since May. Higher oil means stickier inflation, which is bad news for rate cuts.
BlackRock filed a third Bitcoin ETF. The iShares Bitcoin Managed Protect ETF would offer IBIT upside with some downside protection (The Block).
Treasury buyers kept buying. Strategy added 267 BTC (about $22 million) and now holds 848,517 BTC at an average cost of $75,446; Strive bought $335 million of Bitcoin after raising $369 million (Decrypt).
Two policy headwinds. MSCI finalised rules that could drop Bitcoin treasury companies from its indexes (final list on 11 November), and White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt is leaving with no successor named.
Key levels for today

Support: $81,300–81,500, then the $79,800 range floor
First resistance: $82,000–82,200 (old support), then the 20-day EMA at $82,571
Range top: Monday’s high at $83,158 and the $84,000 ceiling, not closed above since 6 October
What to watch next
Whether Monday’s ETF inflows repeat today; one day is not a trend
Oil and the Middle East: a move toward $120 Brent would weigh on all risk assets
The Fed decision on 27–28 October
MSCI’s final list on 11 November for Strategy and other treasury stocks
My take: this is still the same $80K–$84K range. Strong flows without a breakout usually mean sellers are still using every rally. Range tools (grid bots, DCA) keep working; leverage does not.
