A BREAKOUT IS NOT A GUARANTEE.

Look at $PLUME /USDT on the 1D chart.

In this screenshot, PLUME is trading around $0.01750, below its 7-day and 25-day moving averages.

After reaching a recent high near $0.02419, price has pulled back.

So, what should a beginner learn from this chart?

Before calling a breakout, check 3 things:

1. Candle Close: Did price actually close above resistance?
2. Volume: Is there meaningful volume supporting the move?
3. Retest: Can price hold the breakout level instead of immediately falling back?

For PLUME, the area around $0.01874–$0.01891 is worth watching because the 7-day and 25-day moving averages are near those levels.

But moving averages are not guaranteed resistance, and a move above them alone would not confirm a breakout.

My learning takeaway: I don't need to trade every move. I need to understand what the chart is actually showing before making a decision.

This is chart observation, not a buy or sell recommendation.

What do you check first when evaluating a breakout: candle close, volume, or retest?
