Metaplanet founder and CEO Simon Gerovich said Super League Enterprise (SLE), a Nasdaq-listed company, received shareholder approval for a deal that would give Metaplanet control. According to Odaily, Metaplanet will contribute 2,100 bitcoin and $2.5 million in cash in exchange for about 44.86 million newly issued SLE common shares, preferred shares and warrants; the common shares are priced at $3 each. After the deal closes, Metaplanet is expected to hold about 95.7% of SLE’s outstanding common shares, and SLE will serve as its U.S.-listed bitcoin treasury platform.
