IoTeX said its Zanzibar hard fork has gone live on mainnet. According to Foresight News, under proposal IIP-59, the protocol will calculate and distribute voter staking rewards on-chain during each reward period, without off-chain services or intermediaries, allowing anyone to verify each payment on-chain. The first on-chain distribution is scheduled for tomorrow. Zanzibar also strengthens consensus with proof-of-possession checks for delegated keys, in preparation for BLS signature aggregation.
