Nillion is working on something I think will become very important for both AI and Web3: keeping valuable data private while still being able to use it.

Normally, blockchains are public, which is great for transparency but not always good for sensitive data. Nillion is trying to solve this with secure storage and computation on encrypted data, also known as blind computation.

What I like most is Covenants. The idea is simple: you can create instructions that stay protected and only become usable when certain conditions are met. This could be useful for trading strategies, AI agents, private data, and many other applications where you don’t want everyone to see your information.

Dusk, the first Covenant release on Ethereum mainnet, makes this idea even more interesting. It shows how privacy-focused applications could work while still using Ethereum.

I’m also curious to see how Nillion’s roadmap develops and what developers build with this technology. For me, the biggest opportunity is making privacy easier to use without losing the benefits of blockchain.

AI and Web3 will handle more valuable data in the future, so I believe privacy will become a much bigger topic.

What do you think will be the most useful use case for Covenants?
