$SEI is up 5.15% on the week, and the reason is a whitepaper claiming sub-250ms finality. that's a speed number, and speed is the whole pitch here.

the same paper introduces Sedna, Sei's answer to MEV. that's the team's own claim, so treat it as a promise until it's running under real load. a fast chain that lets bots eat your fills isn't much of a selling point, which is why Sedna matters more than the finality headline.

what smells: the performance upgrades temporarily hit SEI deposits on Bithumb. temporary is the key word. I'd rather see a hiccup while shipping than a team that never touches the engine. a pause for an upgrade doesn't bother me, but it has to stay a one-off.

$SEI trades at $0.06388 right now, with a 24h range of $0.06146 to $0.06762. if it holds $0.06146, i think the whitepaper story keeps pulling buyers back toward that $0.06762 high. if it loses $0.06146, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone sitting in a position would be holding a dip with no thesis behind it.

holding $0.06146 or losing it?
