A Bitcoin Scammer Became the Victim of Another Scam $BTC worth about $4.8M was stolen from a scammer after more than 60 BTC were moved into three Ledger addresses and later drained. 60+ BTC → 3 Ledger wallets → 1 destination wallet Chainalysis says the coins originally came from a “task scam,” where victims were paid to generate fake sales and reviews before being asked to deposit their own money to unlock supposed earnings. On Sept. 22, the proceeds were split across three Ledger addresses. On Oct. 9, each wallet was emptied, with roughly $1.64M taken from each and sent to the same address associated with stolen funds. The wider security issue is more serious than this single case. Ledger says confirmed losses in its investigation involve devices sold through reseller CryptoBilis, where researchers found an unauthorized LTE implant capable of capturing the 24-word recovery phrase during setup. One detail remains unknown: Chainalysis did not establish where this particular scammer obtained the compromised devices. #BTC Price Analysis# #BTC #Bitcoin Price Prediction: What is Bitcoins next move?#
