ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS NEED TRUST, BUT THEY ALSO NEED VERIFICATION.
Blockchain technology could make it easier to verify degrees, certifications, and professional skills. WINkLink aims to connect verified academic information to the TRON blockchain, helping employers check qualifications while giving individuals portable digital records.
The key is reliable data. Blockchain can help protect records from alteration, but it cannot guarantee that the original information is genuine. Trusted educational institutions and accurate verification processes remain essential.
Zero-knowledge proofs could also improve privacy by allowing individuals to prove their qualifications without revealing unnecessary personal information.
My view is that WINkLink's potential goes beyond connecting data to TRON. It is about making real-world credentials easier to verify and use across digital platforms. However, the real measure of success will be adoption by educational institutions and employers, not simply the number of records placed on-chain.
