ETF money is walking out, Strategy keeps buying anyway, and $BTC is holding the $81K floor on record network strength.

PRICE.

Price: $83,462.00, up 1.021% in the last 24 hours, per Binance spot data verified at 2026-10-13 22:30 UTC.

The 24-hour range runs from a low of $81,033.66 to a high of $84,168.00.

Support sits at $81,000 to $81,300, then at $77,261, then at $75,000 to $75,440, per current technical levels.

Resistance sits at $84,000 to $84,300, then at $85,000 to $86,500, then at $87,722, per the same levels.

The current price sits about 34% below the all-time high of $126,080 from October 6, 2025.

BUSINESS.

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $65.4 million of net outflows in the October 12 session, all of it from IBIT, pushing October net flows to a $451.8 million deficit.

The week ended October 9 closed with $679 million of net outflows for the bitcoin products.

Cumulative net inflows still stand at $57.11 billion, with total ETF assets at $106.06 billion.

Strategy remains the anchor corporate buyer: it added 250 $BTC between October 5 and 11 at an average of $86,194, lifting holdings to 848,250 $BTC at an all-time average cost of $75,444 per coin.

At current prices the stack is worth about $70.8 billion against an aggregate cost of about $64 billion.

The same filings showed a roughly $21 billion gain on digital assets for the third quarter, reversing a second-quarter net loss of $8.22 billion.

Strategy's average cost of $75,444 sits inside the $75,000 to $75,440 support zone described above.

TECHNOLOGY.

The network hashes at roughly 1,003 EH/s, about 1.0 zettahash per second, with difficulty at 132.7 trillion, per mempool.space.

The seven-day hashrate range runs from about 999 EH/s to about 1,025 EH/s, so the record-strength reading is a sustained plateau rather than a single-day spike.

Publicly traded miners now control about 45% of reported network hashrate, per Ziven data compiled in late September, at 416.1 EH/s of a roughly 921 EH/s network.

Bitdeer leads the public table at 79.9 EH/s, followed by MARA at 70.3 EH/s, CleanSpark at 38.3 EH/s, Riot at 37.2 EH/s, and IREN at 36 EH/s.

CleanSpark produced 529 $BTC in September at a 50 EH/s operational peak and a 36.0 EH/s monthly average, and it ended the month holding 13,530 $BTC.

The same company closed a $2.276 billion notes offering to fund data-center construction, and it will stop publishing monthly mining updates in favor of standard quarterly reporting.

That pivot is the industry pattern: operators are repurposing mining capacity and power contracts toward AI and high-performance compute.

SECTOR.

The macro backdrop stays tight: the Federal Reserve target range is 3.75% to 4.00%, the 10-year Treasury yield sits near 5.22%, and December hike odds are reported at 88%.

South Korea's KOSPI fell 5.46% on October 13 and triggered a sell-sidecar before closing at 6,035.35, a reminder that risk assets are trading under real stress.

Bitcoin dominance reads about 60.4% as of October 13, up from about 58.5% in early October, as altcoins fell harder than $BTC in the sell-off.

Other trackers differ by methodology, with CoinGecko near 58.1% and CoinMarketCap near 59.9%, but every reading points the same way: capital is concentrating in $BTC.

CoinMarketCap's Altcoin Season Index reads 66 out of 100, below the 75 threshold that marks altseason, so the market is in neither bitcoin season nor altcoin season.

The Crypto Fear and Greed Index reads 57, classified as Greed, down from 69 the prior day, with the five-day sequence at 59, 64, 61, 69, then 57.

COMPETITION.

Gold remains the incumbent store of value, with millennia of history behind it and a supply that grows every year as miners dig more of it.

$BTC answers with a fixed 21 million coin cap and a programmatic issuance schedule that no committee can change.

$ETH is the programmable alternative, with staking yield and a smart-contract ecosystem, but it carries no fixed supply cap.

Ether ETFs have posted 10 straight outflow days, a longer losing streak than the bitcoin products.

$BTC holds the middle ground: the hardest cap, the deepest liquidity, and regulated ETF access.

TOKENOMICS.

Market capitalization is $1.676 trillion and fully diluted valuation is $1.676 trillion, per CoinGecko.

Circulating supply is 20,097,768 $BTC against a maximum supply of 21,000,000, so about 95.7% of all coins are already mined.

There is no unlock schedule and no insider allocation: remaining issuance arrives only through block rewards that halve every four years.

ON-CHAIN AND FUNDAMENTALS.

Network security is the headline metric: hashrate near 1,003 EH/s and difficulty at 132.7 trillion both sit at record-scale levels.

MVRV is reported at 1.54, meaning the average holder sits moderately above cost rather than near capitulation.

The short-term-holder realized price is reported at $74,509.50, with $BTC trading about 12% above that level.

ETF assets of $106.06 billion remain the standing measure of institutional exposure even after the outflow streak.

TEAM AND FUNDING.

$BTC has no company, no chief executive, no funding rounds, and no venture backers.

It was created in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and is maintained by open-source contributors.

There is no treasury, no foundation budget, and no team allocation to unlock.

RISKS.

The ETF outflow streak is the clearest near-term risk: $451.8 million has left the bitcoin products so far in October after a $679 million outflow week.

Macro pressure is real: elevated yields and high December hike odds raise the opportunity cost of holding a non-yielding asset.

Miner economics are tightening: CleanSpark sold 702 $BTC in September, two at spot and 700 through exercised call options, at an average realized price of $72,928, below the current price.

Concentration cuts both ways: Strategy alone holds 848,250 $BTC, about 4.0% of the 21 million cap, and public miners control about 45% of network hashrate.

Derivatives traders are buying downside protection, with put options struck from $55,000 to $80,000 dominating recent Deribit volume.

The $BTC drawdown of about 34% from the all-time high shows how far the market has already corrected without reclaiming the peak.
