Aptos has launched an Encrypted Mempool on mainnet to protect traders from frontrunning and sandwich attacks.
Why this happened
Public mempools leak trade intent before execution. Bots use that window to frontrun and sandwich users. Aptos is pushing encryption to the base layer so pending transaction details stay hidden until the block is finalized, under the same validator trust model as the chain itself.
Why it matters
MEV protection is a real product feature for traders, market makers, and automated strategies. A protocol-native encrypted mempool is stronger optics than relying only on external private relays. For $APT, this supports the “serious trading venue” narrative on a high-performance L1.
How it can benefit you
If you hold $APT, better anti-MEV tooling can attract flow that cares about execution quality. Safer order flow is a competitive edge in DeFi and onchain markets.
How it can harm you
The feature is opt-in and adoption has to prove out. People who buy only on the MEV headline can get trapped if usage stays low or if edge cases appear in live trading.
SollyCrypto opinion
This should lean as a pump for $APT. Mainnet encrypted mempool is real infrastructure progress against frontrunning.
You buying $APT on the MEV protection launch, or waiting for trader adoption?
