Bitcoin Hash Rate as a Market Cycle Signal

Most traders watch price. Miners watch economics. And miners are often right.

Bitcoin hash rate — the total computing power securing the network — is one of the most underrated cycle indicators in crypto. Here's why it matters:

**Hash rate tracks miner conviction.** When miners expand capacity despite falling prices, they're betting on future profitability. Sustained hash rate growth during a bear market historically precedes recovery — miners with low-cost energy don't unplug unless they must.

**Hash ribbons mark bottoms.** When the 30-day moving average of hash rate crosses back above the 60-day after a capitulation dip, it has historically been one of the cleanest long signals in $BTC . Miner capitulation ends → weak hands exit → supply pressure drops.

**Difficulty adjustments are feedback loops.** Every ~2 weeks, the network recalibrates. Rising difficulty = more miners online = growing conviction in $BTC's long-term value. It's a decentralized vote cast in electricity.

**Cross-asset context.** Post-merge $ETH shifted to staking validators, but $BTC mining remains the clearest proof-of-work economic signal in crypto. When altcoin narratives drive rotation, BTC hash rate quietly tells you whether the foundation is strengthening.

Price is opinion. Hash rate is commitment. Watch both.
