BREAKING: Tether Freezes $90M USDT Linked to Ledger Theft!
Ledger is investigating a massive $86M-$90M drain tied to its authorized reseller CryptoBilis in Southeast Asia.
According to on-chain tracker MistTrack, losses are approaching $90M from 311 wallets across 5 chains – $TRON, $BTC, $ETH, $BNB, Polygon.
Most of the value was stolen in $USDT on TRON.
Tether has frozen an estimated $10M initially, and now nearly $90M in linked USDT to stop transfers.
But the attacker is adapting – Tron records show 2M USDT was converted to USDD via its stability module to bypass Tether's freeze controls, and 430 ETH ($1.07M) was moved to Tornado Cash.
Attacker still holds ∼$70.6M in $ETH, $BTC, $NVDAB
