🟠 Satoshi-era wallet moves 100 BTC after 16 years dormant

Galaxy Research disclosed on Oct. 7 that 100 Bitcoin mined in July 2010 had moved after lying dormant for 16 years, 2 months, and 24 days. The coins, now worth approximately $8 million, represent one of the oldest active wallets seen in recent months.

The wallet holding these coins had previously moved around 894 BTC before this latest transaction. Bitcoin mined in 2010 is considered "Satoshi-era" due to its proximity to the network's earliest days under its pseudonymous creator.

Movements of early Bitcoin wallets are closely watched by the market, as large dormant holdings coming online can signal potential selling pressure or simply wallet maintenance by long-term holders.
