Evernorth delays Nasdaq debut to October 12
Evernorth is pushing back its Nasdaq debut by a few days.
According to the latest update, the transaction with Armada Acquisition Corp. II is now expected to close on October 9, rather than the previously planned date. Following the closing, Evernorth is expected to begin trading on Nasdaq on October 12, 2026, under the ticker XRPN.
The company cited an administrative delay and said it does not expect the issue to affect the completion of the transaction.
What caught my attention is the size of the treasury Evernorth is building.
After the deal closes, the company is expected to hold around 473 million XRP, along with roughly $300 million in gross cash, before transaction-related expenses.
That could make XRPN an interesting case in the growing trend of crypto treasury companies.
But there is one part worth watching carefully.
Armada’s stock has already seen extreme volatility ahead of the debut, rising to nearly $53 before losing around 50% in a single session. That suggests expectations around the deal are already very high, while the valuation could remain highly volatile.
So October 12 may be more than just a listing date.
It could be the moment the market starts answering a bigger question:
Will investors value Evernorth mainly based on the XRP it holds, or will they assign a premium to the entire XRP treasury strategy?
I’ll be watching the gap between the value of its XRP treasury and XRPN’s market cap once the stock begins trading.
That could be the most interesting part of this story.
