HOW BILL GATES QUIETLY BUILT A 268,984-ACRE FARMLAND EMPIRE 🌾

Bill Gates is known for Microsoft.

But he also became the largest private owner of farmland in America.

At least 268,984 acres across 18 states are linked to Gates and his investment companies.

His biggest holdings include:

🌾 Nearly 70,000 acres in Louisiana
🌾 Around 47,000 acres in Arkansas
🥔 14,500 acres at Washington’s 100 Circles Farm
🌽 Roughly 20,000 acres in Nebraska

And this isn’t just empty land.

The farms produce crops including corn, cotton, rice, soybeans and potatoes. His Washington potato farm is also a major supplier of potatoes used for McDonald’s fries.

Gates began building his farmland portfolio in the early 2010s, with a major 2017 acquisition involving 61 properties for more than $500 million.

The bigger question is:

Why farmland?

Farmland is a tangible asset that can generate agricultural income while potentially benefiting from long-term increases in land value.

Gates has also invested in alternative proteins, agricultural technology and fertilizer-related technologies.

So while the internet asks whether Bill Gates is “buying the food supply,” the documented reality is simpler:

One of the world’s richest tech billionaires quietly built one of America’s largest private farmland portfolios.

And most people barely noticed. 👀
