Nearly a million trades on Kalshi, and almost every one of them sized around $5,500 🤯

The Wall Street Journal spotted it on September 22: about $5 billion in near-identical orders on Kalshi's $ETH perpetuals. The CFTC is now looking into it. Kalshi says it's normal activity and rejects the wash-trading claims.

Traders use volume to judge liquidity before sizing a position, and a million look-alike orders make that number feel a lot less solid.
