Altseason index touching the yearly high Which top 100 alt to hold until 2027?
Altseason is getting close.
But 64 is not 75.
The top-100 Altcoin Season Index reached 64 around its 2026 high, meaning roughly two-thirds of eligible alts beat $BTC over the previous 90 days.
That is real rotation.
It is not full altseason yet.
Coinlib currently shows 64, while BlockchainCenter’s Top-50 version sits lower at 59. Bitcoin dominance is still around 59%.
So capital is spreading out. It just isn’t abandoning BTC.
That distinction matters if the question is what to hold into 2027.
I wouldn’t chase the coins sitting at the top of a 90-day leaderboard.
Momentum gets you noticed.
Usage, revenue and infrastructure give you a reason to survive the next drawdown.
My 2027 watchlist would be:
$LINK — my strongest infrastructure pick. It is already up about 83% over 90 days, but the bigger thesis is CCIP 2.0 and Chainlink’s position between institutions, tokenized assets and multiple chains.
$AAVE — boring in the best way. Lending has survived multiple cycles, and AAVE is up roughly 104% over the same 90-day window.
$SOL — the higher-beta ecosystem bet. Real users, deep liquidity and one of the strongest non-EVM app ecosystems.
$ETH — less explosive, but still the base settlement layer behind a huge part of DeFi and tokenized finance.
$HYPE — the aggressive pick. Strong trading activity and fee generation make it interesting, but token unlocks and valuation matter much more on a 2027 horizon.
The biggest mistake now would be thinking:
“Altseason Index is high, so buy alts.”
No.
A high index tells you breadth is improving.
It does not tell you which tokens will survive when the index falls back to 30.
For a 2027 hold, I’d follow revenue, real usage, token supply and infrastructure demand.
Not whichever ticker pumped hardest this week.
If I had to choose one today, LINK would be the one.
What’s yours?
