Jaguar launched its new all-electric Type 01 model at an event in New York on Tuesday. According to Sina Finance, the British luxury carmaker said it is the most technologically advanced, most powerful, and most aerodynamic model in Jaguar's history.

The launch comes two years after Jaguar's sweeping rebrand drew widespread criticism on social media. According to Sina Finance, the company unveiled a series of changes in November 2024 as part of a full shift to electric vehicles, and the campaign drew backlash at the time.

Multiple media reports said the Type 01 starts at 130,000 pounds in the U.K., or about $172,000, and is priced at about $130,500 in the U.S. According to Sina Finance, the four-door luxury grand tourer has a long hood, a low roofline, frameless doors, and cameras instead of a rear window.

The car has a maximum range of 450 miles and can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. According to Sina Finance, Jaguar Land Rover CEO PB Balaji said the launch opens an exciting new era for Jaguar.
