$487 million in long positions just vanished in 24 hours. ⚠️

$BTC fell to $83,800 on Tuesday as $555.6 million in crypto positions were wiped out — nearly all of them traders betting prices would keep rising, according to CoinGlass data.

It was a positioning problem, not a fundamental one. Zeus Research analyst Dominick John says open interest and funding rates had built up to the point where the market was forced to reset itself. Yet the Fear & Greed index barely flinched — still reading 62.

ViaBTC's Jeff Ko calls it a constructive consolidation if the $82,000–$83,000 zone holds. For perspective: Bitcoin closed Q3 up roughly 40% with $6.5 billion of spot ETF inflows.
